Questions, answered plainly
What QBRBuilder does, what happens to your data, and what it costs. Where something isn’t built yet, we say so.
The product
What does QBRBuilder do, end to end?
It turns what you know about an account into a deck for your customer, plus an Internal Brief and Talking Points for you.
- Build. Paste your notes or upload files: spreadsheets, documents, slides, PDFs or text. QBRBuilder proposes metrics, wins, risks, opportunities, quotes and roadmap items, and you accept or decline each one.
- Narrative. You read the storyline, edit any headline or talking point, and approve it before a single slide is built.
- Studio. The deck is laid out on fixed, measured slide layouts and checked before you see it.
- Export. The deck downloads as an editable PowerPoint or a PDF. The Internal Brief and Talking Points come as PDF, Word or plain text.
Is it only for QBRs?
No. There are six review types, and each one changes the order of the deck and the decision it closes on.
- Executive business review and Health check open with last quarter’s goals, then ROI, adoption and support.
- Renewal opens with ROI and business impact.
- Expansion opens with product adoption: proof first, then the case for more.
- Recovery opens with the risk register, and can add a remediation plan with owners and dates.
- Onboarding close leads with adoption and support health, and usually leaves out the goals review.
- You can’t hand-pick or reorder sections beyond what a review type gives you. Because the PowerPoint is fully editable, an extra slide can be added after export.
How good is the writing?
It writes from the evidence you approved for this account, not from a template.
- Every headline is drafted against this account’s own figures, wins, risks and quotes.
- Before export, 36 automatic checks look for problems such as a risk with no mitigation, a metric with no baseline, a figure that disagrees with itself, or internal-only data on a customer slide. On paid plans, an error blocks export until it’s resolved.
- You approve the storyline before anything is built, and the PowerPoint stays fully editable afterwards.
Your data
Does it connect to my CRM?
Not yet. There is no Salesforce, HubSpot or Gainsight sync today, and we won’t imply one.
- Export a CRM report or copy your call notes, then paste them or upload the files in Build.
- Nothing reaches the review until you accept it.
What happens to my customer data?
Every account and deck lives inside your workspace, and the database itself refuses any request that isn’t scoped to it.
- Workspace access is enforced with Row Level Security on every table, not only in application code.
- Data travels over HTTPS and is stored encrypted at rest by our hosting and database providers.
- Generation runs on Anthropic’s API, whose commercial terms exclude API traffic from model training.
- Optional two-factor authentication protects sign-in and sensitive actions such as deleting your account.
- You can permanently delete your account at any time. Your records, uploaded files and sign-in credentials are removed outright, with no grace period.
- For a security or procurement review, contact us and we’ll send the details you need.
Your brand
Can I use my own logo and fonts?
Yes, on every plan: your logo, your company name and your own font.
- Your logo appears on the cover slide and in the footers.
- Upload a .ttf or .otf font and it replaces the built-in typeface everywhere, embedded in both the PowerPoint and the PDF.
- Decks always use QBRBuilder’s own slide layouts on a white background. We don’t import your PowerPoint template or colour palette, because fixed, measured layouts are what keep text from overlapping or being cut off.
Cost
What does it cost?
Your first deck is free. After that, plans are billed monthly.
- Starter
- $39 a month · 10 decks
- Pro
- $79 a month · 30 decks
- Team
- Coming soon · 5 seats
How does this compare with building decks by hand or outsourcing them?
You keep the work in-house without doing the formatting and drafting yourself.
- Outsourcing adds turnaround time, a per-deck fee, and a third party handling your customer data.
- With QBRBuilder, no outside designer ever sees the account.
- You still review the evidence and approve the storyline. That step is yours by design.
